Grayslake Station 1 is the Headquarters station for the Grayslake Fire Protection District. The station is located in downtown Grayslake and houses the departments administrative staff.  Currently this station is equipped with an engine, a 105 foot aerial ladder, tanker, heavy rescue squad, 2 boats, a brush truck and multiple utility vehicles. Station #1 has also become a favorite stop for residents of Grayslake who often visit while enjoying the downtown shops. In the summer time firefighters often open the doors to allow the public to wander in and check out the vehicles while answering any questions they may have about their fire department.
