Grayslake Station #2 opened April 6th, 2004 with a three man crew working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This station currently houses two engines, one which carries advanced life support equipment,  and an advanced life support ambulance. Station 2 has dramatically lowered response times to the eastern portion of the Grayslake Fire Protection District which includes Grayslake, east of Hwy 83, Wildwood, Gages Lake and Third Lake.
