Air Conditioning

This is the air conditioning unit for the cab of the truck. Since the truck is so large it needs a large air conditioning unit to cool the cab. This allows firefighters to control the air conditioning separately in the front and rear of the cab. Since firefighters are dressed in all their gear, the air conditioning keeps them cool on those hot summer days. The air conditioning also acts as an area to rest while working at structure fires in the summertime. Firefighters think it would be difficult to operate at peak performance without the air conditioning.
