Jump Seat & EMS Compartment |

There are two seats behind the driver called the jump seats. These jump seats are where the firefighters sit and get dressed while going to a call. The jumpseats have air packs (not oxygen tanks) mounted inside the seat. When the firefighter sits down he puts the air pack on like a backpack and tightens all the straps. After pulling the release cord that holds the airpack in the seat, the firefighter gets out with the airpack on his back. Inside this area is a closed compartment called the EMS compartment. This compartment holds all the medical supplies the firefighter/paramedics can use for patients at fire calls or when first arriving at medical calls. This engine can do all the same functions that an advanced life support ambulance can except transport the patient.
