The Board of Fire Commissioners was created in 1994 to oversee the entrance testing, promotion and discipline of career personnel. The Board members are appointed by the Fire Protection District Board of Trustees to serve a three year term. The Board of Fire Commissioners meets on a “as needed” basis at the Grayslake Fire Station. The current Commissioners are:
